Earl Little , Malcolm X's father, was born in Reynolds, Georgia and his wife Louise was born in Grenada, British West Indies, were part of the U.N.I.A. (Universal Negro Improvement Association). Earl organized the movements in the 1920s and was president of the Omaha, Nebraska division of the U.N.I.A. and Louise was a reporter for The Negro World newspaper. On May 19, !925 Louise Little Gave birth to Malcolm. The U.N.I.A. was passed down to their kids. Earl died in 1931 and Louise was sent to a mental institution in 1939. That forced Malcolm and his family to go to a foster home.
